YOUTH LDRSHP Veteran’s Day Essay Winners Announced

The U.S. Army Harrisburg Recruiting Battalion sponsored a Veteran’s Day Essay Contest for Pennsylvania.  The contest not only awarded students with scholarships to further their education, it also recognized Veteran’s. We received over 150 entries from 40 high schools in Pa.  Of those entries four winners were chosen, two in the Junior/Senior category and two from the Sophomore/Freshman category. And the winners are…

Junior/Senior Category:
1st Place: Senior, Phillip Falchetti, Kittanning High School
2nd Place: Junior, Mary Connolly, Kittanning High School

Sophomore/Freshman Category
1st Place: Sophomore, Patrick Myers, Carlisle High School
2nd Place: Sophomore, Madison Steward, Berwick High School

Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to all of those who participated this year. We will be continuing the Youth LDRSHIP Veteran’s Day Contest again next year.
