Pennsylvania Passing League East Division to play Saturday, June 25 at Susquehanna
2nd Annual Pennsylvania Passing League – East Division to host 11 schools this Saturday

HARRISBURG, PA – The U.S. Army Harrisburg Recruiting Battalion is proud to host the Pennsylvania Passing League – East Division at Susquehanna Township High School on Saturday, June 25.

Pool play will begin at approximately 9:00 AM and will determine the seeding for the single-elimination championship round. Barring any weather delays, the PPL-EAST Championship Game is set for approximately 4:00 PM.

Manheim Township won the first-ever PPL-EAST title with a 40-8 win over Coatesville in 2010.

As of 21 June, 11 teams that have committed to play for the PPL West title on June 11 at Gateway High School, including:

Cedar Crest
Plymouth Whitemarsh
Susquehanna Township
York Votech

Teams that participate are guaranteed to play four games, with pool play determining the seeding for a single-elimination championship tournament. The Pennsylvania Passing League is in its second year as a seven-on-seven passing league for high school student athletes throughout the Keystone State. The 2011 Pennsylvania Passing League is part of the U.S. Army Harrisburg Recruiting Battalion’s 2011 Army STRONG Tour, which includes the Army Iron Man campaign, the Army Coach of the Year, the Army STRONG Wrestler of the Year, the HOOP STARS of the Year, and the Army Rivalry Tour.
