WHO: SFC Chaconvelasco, Benjamin of Reading Opportunity Center

WHAT: Nomination as Harrisburg Company Station Commander of the Week

WHY: SFC Chaconvelasco as detailed recruiter was assigned as the Reading Opportunity Center Assistant Center Commander (ACC) as a result of his innate ability to lead and produce results. As the ACC he led his Recruiting Support Team (RST) to help the center achieve in phase line May: 100% RA, 200% USAR, 7 Senior like enlistments, and 1 Prior Service mission accomplishment. The over production was a direct reflection of his ability to lead his team to 100% floor conversion as a result of packet preparation. SFC Chaconvelasco is the epitome of an Army Soldier; he scored 288 on his most recent APFT and during his off duty hours he coaches varsity lacrosse for Governor Mifflin High School where his ability to lead were once again demonstrated by leading his team in winning the Berks County Championship. SFC Chaconvelasco dedicates numerous hours in the community volunteering in the Big Brother program and supporting the Future Soldier Program by mentorship and organizing Future Soldier training. SFC Chaconvelasco is a true credit to the Noncommissioned Officer Corps and the United States Army Recruiting Command.
