Harrisburg BN Station Commander of the Week

SSG (P) Collins and members of his station team at the Schuylkill Haven Island Fest 2010 (2nd from left). After the tremendous success of 2010, they will be attending the event again this year.

WHO: SSG (P) Troy L. Collins, Station Commander of Hazelton Recruiting Station.

WHAT: Nomination as the Lehigh Valley Recruiting Company Station Commander of the Week.

WHY: SSG (P) Collins has been a hard working, go getter and a leader within his peers group of the Lehigh Valley Recruiting Company.

Under his leadership, the Pottsville station not only leads the Company in this PL’s mission accomplishment but also in its progress in community outreach.

SSG Collins’ station was the only one within the Company to have met its MAY PL mission by week two, with a current standing at 3/3 AR and 3/1 RA enlistments.

His station’s accomplishments have been equally impressive in terms of community outreach and COI cultivation.

SSG Collins had three educators from his local area high schools (more then any other station) attend the most recent Harrisburg Battalion Army Educators’ Tour held last month.

Additionally, under his leadership, the station is also making tremendous strides towards establishing its first active S.T.A.R. club program with the Minersville High School.

SSG Collins truly epitomizes the Army Values, setting the example for his Soldiers to follow. He is truly an extraordinary ambassador from the Army within his community.
