Run for a Hero

On Sunday, May 15, 2011 the U.S. Army will partner with the Dick’s Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon to support the U.S. Military!    As a show of support of Military Appreciation Month,  we are looking for runners who would like to run in honor of a military hero for any branch of service.

Heroes are people of distinguished courage or ability, admired for their brave deeds and noble qualities.   Military heroes are the men and women who have performed an act or service above and beyond the call of duty, those that provide freedom.  If you are interested in running for a hero, register below.

The U.S. Army along with the Dick’s Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon will provide over 20,000 bracelets to wear on your right arm in honor of your hero.  You can pick up your bracelet at the expo on May 14 at the runner information desk at the entrance of the expo.
