Good morning, I wanted to share some great news with you regarding the new redesign of the GoArmy.com site.

If you haven’t visited the site recently, please do – as you’ll find some very intriguing content! The Agency has been hard at work developing the site, and it recently went live.

Click here to view it now:  http://www.goarmy.com/

Here is some additional information regarding the redesign, and some of the components that are included in the site:

At the Ready
At the Ready is an interactive, immersive experience that puts prospects directly in the boots of various Army soldiers, where they can see just one small aspect of what these Soldiers do in a day.  These interactive experiences begin with a briefing from a real Army Soldier who describes the job and teaches you a little something about the skills required.  Then a video scenario plays out in a first person point-of-view and the user is asked to decide what to do next based on what they learned in the briefing.  The user makes decisions and, based on their choices, the experience continues or users are reminded of their earlier briefing in order to bring the scenario to a successful conclusion.  This program will be accessible via the homepage of goarmy.com.

Contextual Landing Pages/2.9 Site Redesign
The goarmy.com site has been optimized to increase ease of use, implement a universal “contact us” navigation and pull in more dynamic and social content from a variety of Army branded sources.  As part of this more modular approach, the site will also be able to serve up more contextually relevant content based on where the user comes from; for instance, if a user clicks on an Education-themed banner, the homepage they land on will feature content and imagery that speaks specifically to those benefits as well as address head-on any known or perceived barriers within that context.  Please note, this 2.9 launch is just phase one of the redesign; in April, the full 3.0 redesign will go live.

I’ve Got Skills
An episodic program that features Army Soldiers from a wide variety of jobs paired with civilians in the sports world who perform similar tasks.  Promotes the many options available in the Army and illustrates how the skills you learn in the Army can be carried over and leveraged in your civilian career.
