USAREC Change of Command

Major General David L. Mann assumed command of the U.S. Army Recruiting Command today on Brooks Field on Fort Knox, Ky. He relieved MG Don Campbell during a Change of Command ceremony.

MG Mann’s Welcome Message:

Words cannot express my sense of honor in being asked to rejoin the Army Accessions Team. I appreciate LTG Freakley allowing me to come back for another tour and for the confidence he’s placed in me.

I want to thank MG Campbell and Ann for going above-and-beyond in making this transition so smooth. MG Campbell led you through some challenges to even greater success. He and Ann were truly a great leadership Team for this storied organization.

We’ll continue emphasizing and leading the charge in taking care of our Team. The quality of life for our Team is more important than ever before. Strength starts here and shoulder-to-shoulder, we’ll lay it all on the line every day while ensuring our Team’s quality of life is as important as the annual mission, and we recruit with the highest integrity.

Robyn and I are looking forward to our new challenge and getting to know each of you. Thank you for the kind expressions you’ve already sent our way and for your dedication and hard work in making the change of command successful.

May God Bless America, our Army, our Soldiers, Civilians, and Contractors, especially those in harm’s way.

Strength 6

MG David Mann
